The conference hotel for PGAS 2011 is the Tremont House. It is a Wyndham Grand hotel located near the Strand in the historic part of the city. A block of hotel rooms has been reserved at a special rate at the Hotel Galvez and Tremont House. Hotel reservations can be made on-line or by phoning the hotel directly.

Airport Transportation. The closest major city to Galveston is Houston, TX. The two main Houston airports are Intercontinental (IAH), 70 miles and 75 minutes drive from Galveston, and Hobby (HOU), 43 miles and 45 minutes drive from Galveston. Most airlines service IAH, but some such as Southwest and Delta use HOU.
